3D Anaglyph Pictures

We're not deleting posts, do we, so i'm sure it will be here for a while. If you really are planning to get 3D glasses, make sure they are red-cyan, not magenta-green.

Making an anaglyph photo (of still objects) is quiet easy. Take two pictures from two different positions (about 2 inches apart) and blend them together in GIMP, Photoshop etc. Make sure to put the right picture in the green and blue channel and the left picture in the red channel. You might need to move and rotate one of the pictures a bit to match the other one (at least one object in the focus).

With minecraft it's even earier: go to video options and switch on "anaglyph 3D"

I mean, who in their right mind would post a 3D picture when it's unlikely ANY forum member has 3D glasses?

Seriously though, I've seen 3D glasses made of cardboard once or twice and will pick them up if I run across them again.

What happens if you get the channels reversed? Does depth of field show it reversed? Or do you just get a headache?

I thought maybe someone else had 3D glasses. here must be enough nutheads...50 year olds playing egoshooter...that was for kids 15 yaers ago!
